Transcribe Facebook videos and Reels

Convert spoken audio from a public Facebook video or Reel into readable text and timed subtitle files. Check the downloaded words and cue times against the source before quoting or editing.

Repurpose Facebook video content effortlessly

Use the transcript to review interviews, collect notes or prepare a new draft. It keeps the original spoken language; it does not translate the recording.

How it works in 3 simple steps

  1. Paste a Facebook video link

Paste a public Facebook Reel link, a watch?v= URL, or a Page video link. Open short share links in your browser first to get the direct URL.

  2. Transcribe the spoken audio

The engine transcribes the spoken dialogue and formats timestamps. Credits are only deducted upon successful completion.

  3. Export ready-to-use subtitles

Download clean TXT for script writing and study, or SRT/VTT files ready to import into Premiere, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.

Supported link formats

Supports individual public Facebook Reels, watch videos and Page videos. For a recording you own or have permission to process, upload a local MP4 or WebM file up to 25 MB.

Download a Facebook Reels transcript as TXT or subtitles

Copy a public Facebook Reel link to get its spoken words in a downloadable transcript. Choose TXT for reading and quotations, or SRT and VTT for timed captions. These files do not include the Reel video or the text of its post.

Download all three formats (TXT, SRT, VTT) in a single ZIP from your saved result.

Does this work with Facebook Reels?

Yes! Paste any public facebook.com/reel/… URL to transcribe the Reel's audio and export timed subtitles.

Does the Facebook video need existing captions?

No. Our tool processes the spoken audio directly using AI, so you can transcribe any video with clear speech even if it has no captions.

Can I transcribe videos from private Facebook groups?

This URL tool requires publicly accessible videos. If you own the video or have permission, download the video file and use our file upload tool instead.

How is transcription accuracy handled?

Recognition can miss names or words when speech is unclear, voices overlap or music is loud. Compare important passages with the original audio and correct the exported files in your own editor.

How are credits charged for Facebook videos?

The free plan includes 2 successful daily transcripts, up to 3 minutes each, shared across tools after sign-in. Active members use membership credits. Paid jobs use 1 credit per started minute; failed tasks are not charged.

Can I access my transcripts later?

Find the Ready task in Transcripts and download its files again without extra processing credits. Open the downloaded text or subtitles in your own software, and keep local copies of files you need.

Can I download a Facebook Reels transcript as TXT or SRT?

Yes. After a public Reel finishes processing, choose Download all formats. The ZIP contains the plain TXT transcript and timed SRT and VTT subtitles.

Does the transcript include the Reel caption or on-screen text?

It transcribes spoken audio. The post description, comments, stickers, and text shown only on screen are not part of the transcript.
