How to Transcribe Instagram Reels in Different Languages
Transcribe Instagram Reels in their spoken language. Compare transcript and translation examples, then review names, numbers and language switches.
Submit a public Instagram Reel to Video Script Extractor without choosing a language. The service detects the language from the audio and transcribes the spoken words.
A Spanish Reel should produce Spanish text when it is recognized correctly. The website’s display language does not select a translation language. Review the wording before you quote it or use it as subtitles.
Start without choosing a language
Sign in, paste the direct link to the public Reel and select Get transcript. The link form has no language menu to configure. Detection uses the video’s audio.
Listen to the source before you review the result. Its post caption or the creator’s profile may use a different language from the speech you need to transcribe.
Does a Spanish Reel transcript stay in Spanish?
A transcript records the spoken words in their original language. To prepare an English version of Spanish speech, translate the checked text separately. Video Script Extractor does not provide that translation.
The table uses short sentences written for this guide. It shows what preserving the original language means, alongside a separate English translation. These are language examples, not measured results from Video Script Extractor.
| Written language example | Original-language wording | Separate English translation |
|---|---|---|
| Spanish | Hoy comparto tres ideas para tu próximo video. | Today I’m sharing three ideas for your next video. |
| Chinese | 今天分享三个视频选题。 | Today I’m sharing three video topic ideas. |
Check unclear words against the audio
Replay sentences where music or another voice covers the speaker. Check whether the transcript missed a word or substituted a plausible one. Read the surrounding sentence while listening.
Verify names and numbers with the source video, caption or another reliable reference. If you cannot confirm an unfamiliar phrase, keep it marked in your notes and leave it out of a direct quote.
Review passages that switch languages
A Reel may switch from Spanish to English for a phrase or product name. Locate the switch in the audio and review that passage separately. Correct recognition of the main language does not establish that the switched words are correct.
Keep the speaker’s original wording for a direct quote. If you add a translation to your draft, label it. For subtitles, play the matching video passage and check both the words and cue times.
Write down the timestamp and original words for any language switch to confirm specialized terms, slang, or brand names are preserved accurately.
Source wording: Hoy revisamos el hook del video.
Review note: Keep “hook” as spoken; do not assume it was translated by the service.
Separate English translation: Today we review the video’s hook.Download the original-language result
When the task is ready, open Transcripts and select Download all formats. TXT, SRT and VTT use the same saved wording. Choose the format for your next step; the format choice does not translate the words.
